Nerikiri Experience Workshop (Intermediate)

Booking opens 12 noon Wed 3 July! Learn about Japanese confectionery (wagashi) and make your own beautiful creations during this unique and hands-on class at the Japaneasy Culture Workshop Matsuri 2024! You will learn needle cutting techniques so is appropriate for those with Intermediate skill.

About the event

In this fun, unique and hands-on 90 minute Intermediate class at the wonderful Japaneasy, you will create beautiful nerikiri using needle cutting techniques, and then enjoy with matching tea.  

This class is open to those who CAN HOLD CHOPSTICKS CORRECTLY and CONTROL THEM WELL, and who have attended a beginner's class in wagshi making previously.

Come on a journey with us to an often overlooked part of Japanese cuisine and enjoy all the festivities at Japaneasy!

Note

  • Minako Asai is your instructor, and will run two different classes that please read carefully before book your seat. This is an INTERMEDIATE LEVEL class and only open to those who have attended the Beginners class previously.
  • Our sweets are all plant based, gluten-free, dairy-free and egg-free, but do advise if you have any allergies.
  • Please arrive at least 5 minutes before the start of the class.
