About the event
In this fun, unique and hands-on 1.5-hour beginners class you will create 3 beautiful nerikiri, a class of Japanese confectionery (wagashi) provided in the traditional Japanese tea ceremony. Almost too beautiful to eat, nerikiri are designed to engage all your senses!
You will also learn about key ingredients such as sweet bean paste, and how to use tools and techiniques to create beautiful wagashi that you can take home to enjoy. Suitable for Beginners Skill Level, ages over 15.
Come on a journey with us to an often overlooked part of Japanese cuisine!
Note: Our sweets are all plant based, gluten-free, dairy-free and egg-free, but do advise if you have any allergies.

SUITABLE FOR
Beginners Skill Level - for those new to Japanese confectionery and are looking for a new experience! Recommended for ages 15 and up. Those under 18 need to be accompanied by a paying adult.
